Hey everyone...
Want a great kit that has a romantic theme to it? It's free!!! Do I have your attention now? Stacey's Scraps and A Work in Progress (Vicki) have teamed up together to make this amazing FREE kit. Here is a preview. You can get Stacey's part and Vicki's part by clicking on their names.
And here is the layout I made with that kit. These are pictures from my wedding (in case you couldn't tell). James and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on the 20th of March! This layout is in honor of that! I love you James! Thank you for 5 great years, and more to come.

Crawling
So its finally official...Asher is crawling. He crawled a tiny bit the other day and then didn't do it again until this afternoon. He crawled half way across the living room to get to the TV remote. I'm hoping to catch it on camera tomorrow. I tried today, but he is a ham! As soon as he sees the camera he stops and starts smiling! He is so funny. Anyway. I'll catch up tomorrow, I'm hoping Asher will be a little less demanding tomorrow, unlike he has been today. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Stacey's Scraps Kits
Here are some layouts I have done recently that I haven't posted yet. The first one is of my niece Cailin. The kit is Rock Star by Stacey's Scraps. Its a freebie that you can get on her blog. The second layout I did for a speed scrap a few days ago. The picture was taken a long time ago. The kit is Plum Pudding by Stacey's Scraps. It use to be a freebie but now you can find her previous free kits at her new store, Scrap That Idea for only $1.
This layout was made with another kit by Stacey's Scraps called My Pet Monster (girl version). She also has a boy version that I need to make a layout for. But I loved the girl version for kisses from grandma.
Well I'm off to make some more layouts now that my computer is up and running and I have all the kits downloaded. Now if I could just get Asher to take a nap I could really concentrate.

Some more layouts
While I was in California I did manage to get a few layouts done. I thought I'd post those and the ones I have done this week for you all to see. Enjoy!
And here are the credit....
Special:
Kit- Fly Boy by Stacey's Scraps. This kit is really cute, you can't tell by the layout I did with it, but it has an army/military theme to it. A really great kit!
Splish Splash was done for my 3rd week in the CT Competition over at Brownie Scraps.
Kit- Splish Splash is a collab kit, you get it for free the month of March if you spend $10 in their store!
Slumber is one of the layouts I did for the 2nd week of CT Competition at Brownie Scraps.
Kit- Moma's Little Monster by Dragonfly Designs. Very cute for little boys!
Sisters is the 2nd of the two layouts for week 2 in the competition (wow, lots of 2's in that sentence!)
Kit- Delaney's Garden by Scrappin Daises

A Week in California
Last Saturday, which would've been the 7th of March, I decided to load up the kids and head down to California with James for a quick visit. Bailey is moving to his dad's on the 21st and some of his grandparents wanted to see him before he left. I hadn't originally planned on staying as long as I did, I was going to come home Saturday but we only made it home a few hours ago. Asher didn't sleep well at all the whole time we were there. I'm not sure what the deal is with him but he woke up several times each night wanting to eat. He must've gained 10 pounds just in the week we were down there. I'll find out tomorrow, he has his 9 month check up tomorrow morning.
So we didn't do a whole lot in CA while we were there but we did have a great time. We were able to get the keys to the house we are leasing and were able to move the few things James had down there already into the house. We actually slept there all but two of the nights. It was fun for the kids to run around the empty house. And its on a golf course so that was a lot of fun for them too. My niece, Cailin, hung out with us from Thursday until Sunday afternoon. It was great having her and Bailey spend some good time together before he moves. I think she is really going to miss him.
We went out with a bunch of family members Wednesday night for dinner. That was a blast. Asher wasn't feeling well at all though so we cut the evening short. He cut his 8th tooth while we were in California...YES I SAID 8!!!! Saturday our friends Brian and Jessie came to stay with us from Vegas. Brian and my dad are in talks right now to maybe open up a plumbing business together. I hope they do it, it would be so awesome to have Brian and Jessie move to California! That night we went to a bar called Angels and watched my step-brother's band play. He is the drummer. They are an 80's cover band and they were awesome!!! I can't wait to see them again.
Sunday we got up and went to our new ward. It was really strange going to a ward with people I went to high school with. Well, actually, not people I went to school with, but their parents. I wasn't a member when I was in high school so it should be interesting when everyone learns I'm now a member :) The ward seems great. I didn't notice to many young women/men in the ward, but there seemed to be a good number of younger kids and infants. I'm excited to get to know my new ward.
Oh and while I was in CA I received an email from a scrapbook designer that I just love, Stacey, and she asked me to be on her creative team. I had applied for the position a few weeks ago but didn't make it at first. I guess one of the other girls had too much on her plate and had to quit so she asked me!!! I'm so excited. Here are two layouts I did while in California using one of her newest kits, Spring Breeze. You can find her BLOG HERE and her STORE HERE.

Yeah me!
So I told everyone how I was competing for a chance to be on the creative team over at Brownie Scraps (that's still going, two more weeks). But yesterday one of my layouts was chosen for layout of the day!!! Its very exciting for me! Here is the layout that was chosen. Its pretty cute. I did it for one of the challenges at that same site. They give out a mini kit and you have to use ever element and paper from the kit to make one layout. It's called "Priceless"
Up, Up and Away I did also for a challenge. Challenges are great for me, they give me direction and great ideas I probably wouldn't have had on my own. The kit I used for this layout was In Perfect Harmony by Tracie Stroud who use to be at Elemental Scraps but has since moved shop.

I'm on a roll now...
I can't believe how many layouts I have gotten done this week. And believe it or not I've had two sick kids to add to my usual week. Bailey woke up at 1am Tuesday morning throwing up all over his bedroom floor (that was fun to clean...NOT). So needless to say he stayed home from school and just as he was starting to feel better Asher started throwing up. So much for my theory that Bailey ate something bad. Must've been some kind of 24 hour stomach virus because they are both fine now. I've done several loads of laundry to wash things that little boys threw up on but I think we are out of the woods now. Thanks goodness because I don't do well with throw up! And I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get it next.
So here are the layouts I've done this week that I haven't already posted.
How'd I Get So Lucky?
Kit: Lucky Me by Ramona at Brownie Scraps
This is my second layout for the chance to be a CT at Brownie Scraps. I am loving how fun it is to compete for this position. There are 19 of us trying for it and everyone is really talented. Should be interesting!
Love
Kit: Bohemia by Sweet Blossom Designs. Her and a few other girls have actually opened up a new store. You can get all their great kits here.
Me and My Boys
Kit: Simply Grateful by Ramona at Brownie Scraps
Layout: Template by LeenieLou at Brownie Scraps.
This layout was done for a template challenge.

Crazy television!
So last night I watched some crazy stuff on TV. First I watched the finale of The Bachelor. I have never watched this show before but there wasn't really anything else on that interested me so I watched. Now I know why I don't watch it. How UNrealistic is it to believe you can fall in love with someone and want to marry them in about 2 months time? And that's not counting the fact that during this time you are dating 12 different women, it would be hard enough just dating 1 and determining you want to marry them. AND THEN to top it off even more...the guy picks a girl and in another 6 weeks determines that he doesn't in fact love her but is in love with the one he dumped?!?!?! COME ON!!!! AND SHE TOOK HIM BACK???? OH MY GOSH!!!! Both of those girls should've stood up, slapped him and then walked out.
So after that fun (eye roll) experience I watched the evening news...depressing, the stock market had its all time low in what...12 years, the economy is just getting scarier and scarier. Utah did get a new area code up north, 358 (I think), that doesn't effect me but that's exciting. And can you believe the craziness of those football players missing off the coast of Florida, weird! As I was about to turn off the TV the ABC special news show came on (can't remember the name of it) and they had an interview with Rachel Ray. Now I love Rachel Ray, her recipes are easy and quick and usually pretty cheap to make. Her 30-minutes Meals was the first show I started to watch on the Food Network. But then they moved to the part of the story where she posed for "sexy" pictures for a magazine called FHE? I don't know what FHE is but the pictures...again...COME ON! Let's put it this way...she should just stick to cooking! I finally turned the TV off after that, and to be honest, I'm kinda afraid to turn it back on for fear of what silly, crazy, insane stuff they will be talking about!
On a happier note I am currently competing for a chance to be a CT over at browniescraps.com. Its exciting. For three weeks I have to complete 2 layouts a week with kits from their store (I get them for free YAY!) So in the end I'll have 6 new kits to play with and maybe access to the whole store (if I win). Anyway, here is my first of 2 layouts for this week...I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.

Mom & Her Girls (I knew when I saw this kit that I had to do a layout with my mom, when I was growing up her favorite color was purple!)
