Ashers 1st Birthday

Well I can't believe that Asher is already a year old. Seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital having him. Its crazy how time flies. He is such a joy in our lives, even when he doesn't sleep through the night. For his birthday we just had a few family and friends come over for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun. Here are some really cute pictures.

Jadeth & Whitnee's Wedding

Jadeth and Whitnee got married June 12, 2009! What a beautiful day it was. We had a family luncheon at 3pm at the wedding site, which was the backyard of Whitnee's sister and brother-in-law's house. It was a little windy, but that's Enoch for you. Then the ceremony was at 6pm with an Open House immediately following. The weather was perfect, the treats were yummy and everyone looked wonderful. What a very special day it was for the Sherratt family, we are so blessed to have Whitnee officially part of our family now. Here are the pictures you have been waiting for!!!

STRESSED!!!!!

I think the title says it all...I am STRESSED OUT!!!! Life has not been easy lately and it seems to be getting more difficult. This week should be filled with joy for me, Asher turns 1, Bailey is coming to visit for 6 weeks, my mom will be here, my dad is nearby, but it just seems to be adding to the stress. James has a great job that he loves but its commission only and it will take time before they sign some new jobs. We would be fine except that the state of California has idiots working for them...and I think that should explain my stress right there!!! I am in need of a very big miracle or this weekend in going to be a disaster...(closing my eyes and shaking that image out of my mind).

Well anyway, even though life has been tough and stressed out I did manage to get a few scrapbook pages done and I wanted to post some pictures from Jadeth and Whitnee's wedding, which was the 12th of June. So enjoy :)

Theme Song

Ok so I have a new theme song...
Isn't it weird how you'll hear a song a thousand times but then one morning it just hits you that this song is YOUR song. I was working out on my elliptical and this song came on my iPod and I just thought...this song pumps me up, gets me moving and says a lot about how I'm feeling lately.
The song is "Bring on the Day" by Charlotte Martin, its from the Sweet Home Alabama soundtrack. Here are the lyrics

When I feel like I'm falling
I'm still on my feet
Reality is calling
But that don't bother me
Cause I'm on my way, I'm OK

I'm ready to get ready
Willing to get by
Able to imagine what it's like to fly
Into the blue, it's all down too

Hey, hey, hey
Come on Bring on the day
Cause I just might get everything I need
Hey, hey, hey
Give 'em what it takes
I'm ready as I'm ever gonna be
So, bring on the day

Like a diver in the water
Everything feels slow
My car, my markiardo, it gets me in the flow
Cause I'm on my way
Whatever it takes

Hey, hey, hey
Come on bring on the day
Cause I just might get everything I need
Hey, hey, hey
Give 'em what it takes
I'm as ready as I'm every gonna be
So, bring on the day

What you get is what you see
Open up your eyes
Let it set you free
It all works out eventually
Gotta keep on keep on
I can rock, and I can roll
I know I wanna move, gotta take control
Whatch out world cause here I come
And I can't stop till I'm done

Hey, hey, hey
I'm finally on my way

Hey, hey, hey
Come on bring on the day
Cause I just might get everything I need
Hey, hey, hey
Give 'em what it takes
Cause I'm as ready as I'm ever gonna be
So, bring on the day

Gotta keep on, keep on, keep on

Quick update

Its been a crazy week around here. I was able to finally buy Bailey's plane ticket to come visit us this summer. I am so happy! He flies into Vegas on the 19th, my mom is picking him up, along with my niece Cailin and the three of them will be here just in time for Asher's first birthday! So exciting!!!
I am starting a new program this week to help me be happier with who I am and how I look (notice I didn't say a new "diet" or "exercise" program.) Anyway, a friend of mine here in Enoch did it and she looks and feels amazing. But I don't want to say too much for fear I will jinx myself. Give me a few weeks and then I will post some results and information. But if you want to try it out for yourself you can go to transformation.com (you have to register by June 29 if you want to do it, and its free)
Asher is growing so fast. I can't believe in about two weeks he will be a year old! Gosh, time goes to quickly. He was so cute this morning. After my 1/2 hour of yoga I went in to shower, normally he will sit on the bathroom rug and play with some toys while I shower, but today he was really fussy. I opened the shower door to let him know I was there and that everything was ok. I guess he decided he wanted to shower too because he tried getting in, so I undressed him and brought him in the shower with me. He just snuggled up to me and let the warm water run over him. I guess he still isn't feeling 100% because that just isn't normal for my little monster that is constantly on the move. But it was so sweet. A memory that will last forever, that's for sure!
Jadeth and Whitnee are getting married next week. I am excited for them. Jadeth told us the other day that after the wedding they are going to be starting to attend church together. I think that's so awesome. It will help strengthen their little family and I'm so proud of both of them. I'll make sure to take lots of pictures of the wedding so friends and family can see :)
James is enjoying his new job, and although it's commission only I think he is going to be very successful at it.
Well, that's all for now. I've been having some computer issues lately (I think I have too much stuff saved on it, not enough hard drive space left!) so I need to get back to purging it!
