New Layouts...

Here are some layouts I have completed in the last few days...one even goes with my New Years Goals!

All three of these layouts were done using freebie kits I got from Sweet Blossom Designs, you can find her blog here.

CT Calls

So I'm very new to the digital scrapbooking world but this week I was lucky enough to get two CT Calls. For those of you who don't know what that is, its being part of the creative team for a designer who designs the scrapbooking kits that others use to create scrapbook pages. I'm very excited about this. What I'll be doing is receiving the kits before they are published for sale and then I will create a layout or two using that kit so that the designer can use the layout as examples of how her work can be used. Tuesday I was called to be on the CT for Digitalegacies Designs by Nani, you can find her work at Scrapbird.com. I was feeling very lucky and honored for that call and then on Thursday I received another for JayaPrem's Hangout, you can find her work at Scrappinoutloud.com. I am very happy to be on a team with both of these women and I'm excited to show you all what great work they do. Keep checking back for my layouts using their kits.

New Years GOALS...not resolutions!

Ok so now that we are well into the first month of the year I thought I'd come up with some GOALS for this year. I hate resolutions so I am doing goals.

Family Goals:
1. Only move once! HA! if you know us you'll know that's a tough goal for us!
2. Family dinners every Sunday, I like this goal, it keeps our family together and helps us to stay in touch with what is happening with all our kids.
3. Save $$$!

Creative Goals:
1. 200 Digital Scrapbook pages by Dec 31! I think I have 9 done already...woohoo
2. Project 365. Take a picture a day for 2009, I started a little late so I'm actually doing Project 360 hehe.

Personal Goals:
1. Lose the baby weight, get to 145 lbs before our Family Vacation (I think we are shooting for May)
2. Read 10 books this year...almost a book a month, that shouldn't be to hard for me.

So these are my goals so far, I might add more as the year goes on. I think I am forgetting one already that I was thinking about last night, I knew I should've written them down! Anyway, here are a couple more layouts I have completed.

Stuck in the snow...

Today James and I had to run to Panguitch to pick up the 5th wheel hitch from my dad's RV park (The Hitch N Post). James is pulling the 5th wheel down to California so he has a place to stay until we get the family moved back down there the end of June. Anyway, we had just turned onto Highway 89 off of Highway 20 and BAM! James gets caught speeding by a highway patrol. So we pull off the side of the highway, and the Jeep sinks into the soft snow. I think the policeman felt sorry for the predicament we now found ourselves in so he didn't give James a ticket. We tried to back out but the Jeep just slide a little further off the embankment. The officer was kind enough to help pull us out. Here are a few pictures I took.

Just had to post it!

I just completed another scrapbook page and I just had to post it. I LOVE IT! I am very proud of it!

What's going on today...

It's Friday! YAH!!! James has been with his new job a whole week now and still is happy with it. He really thinks it will turn into something he will love and that will be exciting for him. He is doing government work, mostly on Military bases. He has three projects going right now that he is project managing, in Barstow, San Diego and Los Angeles.

Asher is feeling tons better. Just like his cute little self again. I'm very thankful about that. He isn't crawling yet but he can cruise around the whole house in his walker. I think he'll be walking before he crawls! He loves being in his little walker, here are some pictures I just took to prove it!
Isn't he just the cutest little boy? He has the best personality. Even when he was really sick he was still smiling and happy.

I've also been working on more of my digital scrapbook pages. I just love the digital part of it. So much easier then the paper version. Here are the others that I have done in the past few days. The layout titled "Playtime" I did for a template challenge on a scrapbook forum I came across when searching for digital scrapbook stuff, the website is www.elementalscraps.com. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Thanks for stopping by.

Whew!

Asher is finally starting to feel better! After going to the doctors yesterday and finding out that he also has a sinus infection and getting yet ANOTHER medication to give him he woke up this morning looking and sounding more like his happy little self. I am so relieved that he is improving, I was a little worried there for a moment.

While Asher was taking a nap yesterday I was able to get another scrapbook page done. Here it is...

I'm on a roll now!

We got a dusting of snow yesterday, I hear we might get a little today too but when I look out the window it looks clear. And that's about it that is going on in our lives this week so far. James is down in Barstow, CA working, probably coming back home tonight :) yeah! Bailey starts his basketball games this Saturday, that should be exciting. And he also has the Pine Wood Derby coming up at the end of this month in scouts. I can't wait to see that. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures.

Until next time...everyone have a safe and wonderful day!

Happy 2009!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Well we made it back to Utah safe and sound yesterday. Poor Asher was not feeling well most of the time we were in California. The night before we left he woke up with the worst cough ever. I had planned on taking him to the doctor's office tomorrow to find out what was going on with him but this morning at 5:00 he woke up worse then ever, he could hardly breathe, so I woke up James and we took him to the hospital. Come to find out the poor little guy has Croup and Bronchitis. He has been sleeping most of the day. I hope he starts to feel better soon. He has been sick ever since we moved up here in October.

James started his new job on Friday. He thinks it is going to be a great job and really hopes that it will be something long term for him. Since we are trying to stay in Cedar until Bailey finishes this school year out James will have to drive to CA for the week and then home on the weekends, neither of us are looking forward to that. Its going to be a long 5 months until the end of May.

So for the new year I decided to start digital scrapbooking. A friend of mine does it and I have been looking at her work and it looks fun. So below is my first attempt at it...I think its pretty good for the first time!
