HUH????

So how pathetic am I? Its been almost a year since I posted anything on this blog. That's just sad and wrong. I could give you tons of excuses as to why I haven't posted anything but I'll save you all the time and just say that I'm a slacker!

Well it's 4:10AM! You'd think I'd be asleep right now but nope...I'm exhausted, don't get me wrong, I'd much rather be asleep then posting to this blog. Being 9 months pregnant has not helped in the sleep department. I get these terrible leg aches which make it nearly impossible to lay still for any amount of time over 2 minutes. I took some tylenol about an hour ago, hopefully I will be going off to dreamland here in the next little while.

Just wanted to post a quick note to let everyone know we are still alive and well (barely). I'll try to get this thing updated before giving birth but I'm not making any promises because who knows, maybe I'll go into labor later today! (not likely, but a 9 month pregnant woman can hope can't she???)

Happy Birthday Asher/Father's Day

In about 30 minutes it will officially be Asher's 2nd birthday. I can't believe he is 2 already. Time is flying by and its a little depressing. Right now Asher is so fun. He is learning tons of new things, he repeats just about everything you say (which is good and bad depending who he is around). I know that in 3 years I'll be thinking back to this time in his life and miss it so much. Well before I start crying I better say that I am so happy that this little boy has blessed my life. I can't even imagine what it would be like without him in it.

Tonight Asher and I took James to the movies for Father's Day. Really we just wanted to go see Toy Story 3 and that was a great excuse. It was the first movie that Asher has sat completely through. James tried to take him to see some other cartoon movie (I can't remember the name of it) one night when I was at work. They didn't stay the whole time because Asher got a little out of control. Its a cute movie and I recommend it to anyone who loves Disney/Pixar movies.

Just a quick note to the dads in my life. I love you all!!! James is a great dad, not only to Asher, but to all of our kids. Our family is so crazy some times and I know that dealing with all of it is difficult but he does a great job. My dad is amazing! He truly is. And to all the other dads out there...Happy Father's Day. I hope its a great day for all of you!

Some Spring Fun

Not too long ago we went to CalRanch, which, for those of you who don't know, is a store that is a lot like, well I can't really think of a store its like. It has almost everything. Its a feed store, you can buy things for any kind of animal you have from hamsters to horses. They also have gardening stuff, furniture, clothing, shoes, etc. Anyway, we went there recently to get some stuff for our dog. In the back of the store they had these huge horse troughs filled with baby chicks, turkeys and ducks. Asher was in love as soon as he saw them. He was so cute. We actually talked about buying some and putting them in our backyard, but since we don't have it fenced yet we decided against it. Probably smart on our part. So then, last week we were having the tires rotated on James' big truck and the place (Big O) was across the street from CalRanch so we decided to walk over and let Asher visit his bird friends again. This time I got it on video. Here are two different videos of him lovin the "birdies".

For some reason I am having issues getting the videos working, I'll work on it and get them up ASAP

Easter 2010

It was really exciting that Bailey was here visiting us for the week of Easter and since Jade's 1st Birthday was a couple of days before he was here for that too. We had a lot of fun. Bailey and Asher dyed Easter eggs one, we had a birthday party for Jade, we even made a quick trip to Kingman, AZ Easter morning to visit with my mom, Rocky, my sister, Tate and Cailin. A great big happy 1st birthday to Jade. We had such a great time having her birthday party here at our house. Here are some fun pictures from the party, she did a great job diving into the cake. And speaking of the cake, here are some pictures also of the cake I made for her party.

Spring Adventures

In Utah, the weather, throughout March and April, has a tendency to go from Spring to Winter and then back to Spring in the same week. Here in Cedar City its been especially crazy, one day we'll have snow and then two days later we'll have a high of 60 and sun! Anyway, about a week ago we were able to get outside and go to the park. Asher loves the park, you can't even say the word around him unless you plan on going that minute. The slide is his favorite. So on this particular day we decided to go around lunch time, stop and grab something for lunch and head to the park. We got in the car and about halfway to the park Asher fell asleep in his car seat so James and I grabbed lunch and headed back home so Asher could get a full nap. The good thing about that was when Asher finally woke up Jadeth and Jade we able to go to the park with us. It was Jade's first trip to the park and I think she had a really fun time.
